Our Oakville Campus is located in a convenient central area of Oakville at:
243 North Service Rd W, Unit 301, Oakville, Ontario L6M 3E5
The campus is easy to reach by car from communities across Oakville and surrounding areas, with ample parking for convenient drop-off and pick-up. The surrounding area offers established amenities, while a nearby community park provides a quiet and welcoming environment for children and families.
The Oakville Campus is an important part of YouGuang’s long-term development. Our goal is not to operate a temporary after-school location, but to build a stable Mandarin learning community that can serve Oakville families for many years.

A Thoughtfully Designed Mandarin Campus
The Oakville Campus is approximately 1,500 square feet and has been designed around the needs of children and language learning.
The campus includes bright, comfortable classrooms, flexible teaching and activity space, and welcoming areas for families.
While it is more compact than our Richmond Hill Main Campus, the Oakville Campus follows the same curriculum standards, teaching philosophy, textbook system, and expectations for teachers.
Families should experience one consistent YouGuang approach across both campuses.

The Same Structured Learning Path
The Oakville Campus uses the same level-based textbooks, curriculum, and teaching standards as our Richmond Hill Main Campus.
Students are placed according to Mandarin ability, and language background so that each child can learn at an appropriate pace and build skills progressively.
Early Years Mandarin
Our Early Years program is designed for young children at the beginning of their Mandarin learning journey.
Through stories, songs, games, interaction, and age-appropriate activities, children begin developing listening and speaking skills, early character recognition, and confidence using Mandarin.
At this stage, one of our most important goals is to help children develop a positive relationship with the language.
We want Mandarin to feel like something they are curious about and willing to use—not simply another subject they have to study.
Level 1–Level 8 Mandarin Program
The Oakville Campus offers YouGuang’s complete Level 1–Level 8 Mandarin program.
Beginning in Level 1, students typically learn approximately 300 Chinese characters each academic year, while progressively developing:
* Character recognition
* Reading comprehension
* Vocabulary and language use
* Chinese writing
* Spoken expression
* Logical communication
* Chinese culture
* Higher-level reading and thinking skills
The goal is not simply to increase the number of characters children can recognize.
We want students to move from recognizing Chinese to reading it, from reading to understanding, and from understanding to expressing their own ideas confidently.
Over time, Mandarin becomes more than a weekly class. It becomes a language children can genuinely use.

Mandarin for Non-Mandarin-Speaking Families
The Oakville Campus also offers programs designed specifically for children who do not speak Mandarin at home.
These classes are suitable for:
* English-speaking families
* Multilingual and mixed-language families
* Cantonese-speaking families
* Families who use languages other than Mandarin at home
* Children beginning Mandarin with little or no prior experience
The program does not assume that students already understand or speak Mandarin.
Learning begins with practical communication, everyday vocabulary, listening, speaking, and meaningful interaction. As students develop a stronger spoken foundation, Chinese characters, reading, and expression are gradually introduced.
Our goal is to help Mandarin become a language children can understand, feel comfortable speaking, and continue developing over time.
Our Own Textbooks and Learning System
Students at the Oakville Campus use YouGuang’s own level-based textbooks, practice materials, and online homework system.
The curriculum was created specifically for children growing up outside China rather than simply adapted from textbooks designed for students living in China.
It takes into account the realities of learning Mandarin in an English-speaking environment, including limited weekly instructional time and different levels of exposure to the language at home.
Classroom learning is reinforced through structured practice and our online homework system, helping students review and consolidate what they have learned throughout the week.

More Than Replicating Another Campus
The Oakville Campus is not simply a smaller copy of Richmond Hill.
Our goal is to bring YouGuang’s curriculum, teaching standards, teacher development, and educational philosophy to Oakville while building a school community that reflects the families who live here.
Both campuses share the same core standards:
The same curriculum.
The same learning pathway.
The same expectations for teaching quality.
The same commitment to long-term Mandarin development.
Growing with Oakville Families for the Long Term
Meaningful language learning takes years.
A child may begin with their first Chinese characters and gradually grow into a student who can read independently, write, communicate, and confidently express ideas in Mandarin.
We believe the school should be prepared to make that journey with them.
Our goal in Oakville is not simply to offer a series of short-term classes, but to build a lasting Mandarin learning community where children can grow year after year.
From literacy and reading to expression and culture, we help children growing up abroad build strong, lasting Mandarin skills.
